House church “It Is Truly Meet”, convent, Bilivski Khutory

The Convent of the Nativity of the Mother of God is linked to its chief treasure — the icon of the Mother of God “Seeker of the Perishing”. According to tradition, the icon appeared when a fire broke out in the old church; it was moved several times before finding its place in the convent. The church is called a house church because it was arranged inside a dwelling house. Pilgrims come here from all over the world.

We painted the church in keeping with the history and spiritual character of the convent: biblical scenes and saints on the walls, and flowing, intricate ornament on the vaults and walls. The work went all the way from a 3D model to the finished murals.
