Since 1973 we have been painting churches, writing icons and making iconostases — in Ukraine and beyond. Our craft is passed down from generation to generation.
History
How it all began
The Ananiya studio was founded in 1973 by the icon painter Ananiy Melnychuk. He brought artists together to paint the Holy Trinity Cathedral of the Korets Convent.
The work took seven years, at a time when the Church was persecuted. The painting was supported by the abbess of the convent, Mother Natalia (Ilchuk).
Since then the studio has painted many churches in Ukraine and abroad, and its knowledge and experience are passed on from master to apprentice.
